Pune Police Issue NOC for Dagdusheth Temple Expansion
Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple is a famous temple in Pune.
It wants to grow and become bigger.
But two police stations stand where the temple wants to expand.
The police have given a special permission called an NOC for the expansion.
However, the police stations will not move until a new police building is ready.
The new police complex will be built in Budhwar Peth.
It will include both police stations, a traffic outpost, and senior police offices.
The temple trust may pay for building the new police complex.
For now, nothing will change until the government makes more decisions.
Pune Police issued an NOC to permit shifting Faraskhana and Vishrambaug police station premises for the Dagdusheth Temple expansion.
Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar sent the NOC to the state Home Department on August 10.
The police stations will shift only after a new, fully equipped police complex is built on a municipal plot at Budhwar Peth.
The temple trust is ready to construct the new police complex, with costs to be borne by the trust or the Home Department.
The Dagdusheth Temple received Class A tourism status from the state government in May.
