Woman Regains Ancestral Home After Forced Eviction
A woman named Soni was forced out of her ancestral home by police and revenue officers.
The Allahabad High Court said this was very wrong and ordered that she should get her home back right away.
The court also said that the people who did this should be punished.
Soni and her three young children were taken from their home, which was very unfair.
The court fined one official and said others should be investigated for doing something bad.
Soni had a beauty parlour in her home, which was her only way to make money.
The court said the people who took her home did not follow the rules and acted too quickly without good reasons.
The Allahabad High Court ordered the immediate restoration of possession of an ancestral house to a woman named Soni who was forcibly evicted by police and revenue officers.
The court termed the dispossession a gross abuse of the process of law and administrative powers.
A two-judge bench fined a court official Rs 1 lakh for the illegal dispossession and mental trauma caused to Soni and her three minor children.
The court referred the matter to the Chief Justice for initiating a disciplinary enquiry against the Civil Judge (Junior Division) for acting with undue haste and material irregularities.
Soni's husband and his younger brother were allegedly forced to sign a house sale deed in the name of the respondent, leading to the eviction.
