Haryana Probes Alleged Rs 1,500 Crore Labour Scam
The Chief Minister of Haryana, India, has set up a special team to look into some problems in the labour department.
The team includes important government officers and has one month to find out what's wrong.
Some people think there might be a big scam worth Rs 1,500 crore.
The problem is about workers who might not have done the work they said they did, which affects the benefits they get.
The Chief Minister wants a full report with all the details soon.
The team will check if the workers are real and if they actually did the work.
This is important because fake workers might be getting money they shouldn't.
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini formed a high-level inquiry committee to investigate labour department irregularities.
The committee, led by IAS officer Pankaj Aggarwal, has one month to submit its report.
Allegations involve irregularities in verifying work slips and registering workers, potentially amounting to a Rs 1,500 crore scam.
Labour Minister Anil Vij had earlier raised concerns about these irregularities.
The committee's investigation will focus on the authenticity of work claims by construction workers.
