Mumbai Water Stock Slips to 97.58% After Dry Day

Mumbai gets much of its water from seven lakes.

On Friday, those lakes were almost full, holding 97.58% of their total useful water capacity.

Their combined water level was slightly lower than the previous day.

No rain fell in any of the seven lake areas during the 24-hour period.

Vehar and Tulsi were still completely full.

Bhatsa had the largest amount of stored water.

Modak Sagar saw the biggest drop in its water level.

Even after the small decline, Mumbai’s water supply remained close to its peak level.
