Pakistan Supreme Court Sets September 16 Hearing on Khan Plea

Pakistan’s Supreme Court will hear a case filed by Uzma Khan, the sister of Imran Khan.

She says the government did not follow an earlier order about moving Imran Khan from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital.

The court’s registrar did not agree to hear the case immediately.

Instead, it scheduled the case for September 16.

It will be heard with the main case connected to the earlier order.

Uzma says Imran Khan’s health is getting worse and that waiting could cause serious harm.

PTI lawyers want the earlier order followed and want Imran Khan to meet his family.

The government has asked the court to review the order and called the hospital-transfer direction discriminatory.
