Vijayawada to install 3-coloured garbage bins

The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation is taking steps to make the city cleaner.

They want to make sure that garbage is separated properly at home and collected every day.

The Commissioner, HM Dhyanachandra, checked different areas to see how well the cleaning is being done.

He said that the garbage collected should be processed correctly at a special plant.

To help people throw away the right kind of garbage, they will put up three different coloured bins on the main roads.

Each bin will have a sticker showing what kind of waste should go in it—wet, dry, or dangerous.

The Commissioner also checked a food canteen to make sure the food is good and the facilities are working well.

He told the officers in charge to check the canteens every day to make sure everything is good.
