Delhi Police Arrest Suspect in ₹21 Crore Forgery Cases

Delhi Police arrested Kushal Samir Mehta at a railway station in Mumbai.

Police say he is suspected of using fake official papers in two cases in Delhi.

In one case, someone tried to obtain ₹18.62 crore in government payments, but the payments were stopped after checks found the papers were fake.

In another case, a businessman from Ahmedabad says he lost ₹3.12 crore after Mehta promised to help with official work and recover money.

Police say the fake papers appeared to come from government offices, courts, and banks.

Officers tracked Mehta across Gujarat before intercepting his train.

He was taken to Delhi, where a court allowed police to question him for four days.

Police also say he is connected to at least two other forgery cases in Mumbai.
