The businessman gave them Rs 13.5 crore, expecting high returns from investments in movies and other businesses.
However, the businessman claims he did not get the promised returns.
The police are now investigating this case.
This is not the first time Vikram Bhatt has been in trouble.
He and his wife were arrested last December for another similar case involving Rs 30 crore.
The investigation is being led by DSP Chhagan Singh Rajpurohit.
