India Honors 1971 War Victory
Vijay Diwas is a special day in India that remembers the victory in the 1971 war against Pakistan.
This war helped create Bangladesh and is celebrated every year on December 16.
During the war, India supported the people of East Pakistan who were facing a lot of trouble.
The war lasted 13 days, and on December 16, a huge number of Pakistani soldiers surrendered.
Many brave Indian soldiers lost their lives, but their courage is honored every year.
The day is also important for Bangladesh as it marks their independence and freedom from oppression.
People in India and Bangladesh come together to remember and celebrate this victory.
