Infosys Boosts US Lobbying Amid Industry Decline

Infosys is the only big Indian IT company that has increased its spending on lobbying in the US.

Other companies like TCS, Cognizant, and Wipro have spent less on lobbying.

The US government makes rules that affect these companies, so they try to influence these rules to help their business.

Infosys spent $270,000 in the first nine months of 2025, while TCS and Cognizant spent less than they did in 2020.

Wipro has not spent any money on lobbying since 2022.

The main things they lobby for are H-1B visas, which allow Indian workers to work in the US, and policies about artificial intelligence (AI) and training workers.

The US is a very important market for these companies, so they want to make sure the rules there are fair and help their business grow.

Some experts say that companies are now focusing more on hiring locally in the US and using AI to do some jobs, so they don't need to lobby as much for visas.
