Indore Raksha Bandhan Taunt Leads to Newlywed's Murder

Police say a family argument in Indore ended in the death of a 22-year-old woman.

The woman who died was Vandana Patel, who had recently married Rupendra Patel.

Investigators say Vandana and her sister-in-law, Parvati Bai, argued over a personal insult.

The argument was reportedly connected to comments made during Raksha Bandhan.

Police say Parvati attacked Vandana with a kitchen knife.

She allegedly put Vandana's body in a water tank and cleaned the house.

Vandana's husband became worried when her phone stopped working and found her body.

Police used the clean house and CCTV footage to focus on Parvati, who allegedly confessed.
