Nepal to retain map on one-rupee coin

Nepal to retain map on one-rupee coin

Nepal and India are arguing over some territories called Limpiyadhura, Lipulek, and Kalapani.

Nepal says these areas belong to them and has put them on their one-rupee coin.

India says these areas are part of their state called Uttarakhand and wants to talk about it with Nepal.

Nepal first thought about changing the coin to show a monastery instead of the map, but after people and the opposition party complained, they decided to keep the map on the coin.

The new coin will be smaller and lighter but will still show the map with the disputed territories.
