Iran Releases Undated Khamenei Footage Amid Persistent Health Questions
Iran released a video showing its leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, with other people at a religious study meeting.
In one description, he listens to a student explain a thesis and gives it a very high score.
His voice can reportedly be heard publicly in the footage.
However, the video has no clear date.
Some reports say it was recorded before he became the Supreme Leader.
This means it may not show how he is doing now.
Khamenei has rarely appeared in public since taking the position.
Reports have claimed he was seriously ill, but President Masoud Pezeshkian said he was completely healthy.
The video has not settled questions about Khamenei’s current health or location.
Iran’s Fars News released rare footage of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei during a religious academic session.
One account says he assesses a thesis and gives it a score of 19.5 out of 20, with his voice heard publicly.
Other reports describe the Fars footage as archival, filmed before Khamenei became Supreme Leader, showing prayers and discussion.
The footage’s date and its ability to show Khamenei’s current health or whereabouts remain unverified.
President Masoud Pezeshkian rejected reports of serious illness, saying Khamenei was healthy after a lengthy meeting.
