Edulabad's Ancient Petroglyphs Face Urban Threat
In a place called Edulabad near Hyderabad, there are very old rock carvings and other ancient things on a hill.
These were made a long, long time ago by people who lived there.
Some of these carvings are very special and have never been seen anywhere else in Telangana.
There are also old temples and other important historical sites nearby.
But now, as the city of Hyderabad is growing, these ancient treasures are in danger.
People who live there and love history are asking the government to protect these sites so they don't get destroyed.
They want the government to study them, take care of them, and maybe even make a museum so everyone can learn about this important part of history.
Ancient petroglyphs and prehistoric structures in Edulabad, Telangana, face threats from urban sprawl.
The site features 66 unique undeciphered pictographs and is compared to Bhimbetka in Madhya Pradesh.
Local historians and villagers are urging the government to protect and study the site.
The area includes ancient temples and structures from the Mesolithic, Kakatiya, and Quli Qutb Shah eras.
A petition by the Edulabad Heritage Protection Forum seeks heritage status, funding, and eco-tourism trails.
