ED Deputy Director Granted Bail After Bribery Arrest
Imagine a high-ranking officer in a government agency, like a detective, was caught taking money to help a businessman.
This officer promised the businessman he wouldn't be arrested or have his things taken away because of some investigations.
The officer and his friend were arrested, but they were later allowed to leave jail while they wait for the case to finish.
The officer had asked for a lot of money, but only received a part of it before being caught.
Now they are out on bail and will have to go back to court.
ED Deputy Director Chintan Raghuvanshi was granted bail by the Orissa High Court.
He was arrested by the CBI in May for accepting a bribe.
His associate, Bhakti Binod Behera, also received bail.
The CBI caught them accepting a bribe from a mining businessman in Bhubaneswar.
