Tirupati Collector Urges Students to Explore Creativity Beyond Classrooms
Imagine school is like a funhouse, but you only get to play on the swings.
A special event called Balotsavam is like a big playground with many different games!
The main boss, the Collector, said that playing these games is super important, not just studying.
He thinks kids should get to try lots of different things to find out what they love and get good at.
This helps them become more creative and confident.
It also keeps them away from bad habits.
Many schools and people helped make this big playground of games happen for kids in Tirupati.
District Collector Dr S Venkateswar emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities for student creativity and development.
He noted that excessive focus on careers like doctor or engineer from a young age limits children's exploration.
The Collector highlighted that events like Balotsavam build confidence, motivation, and steer students away from unhealthy habits.
The 4th Balotsavam featured 35 types of competitions across 75 categories for students from Classes I to X.
District officials and organizers expressed commitment to supporting similar initiatives to foster holistic student growth.
