Security Forces Engage Terrorists in Kashmir
On January 6, 2024, security forces in Kashmir found and destroyed a secret hideout used by terrorists.
They were looking for the hideout based on special information they had.
The hideout was in a place called Putusai, which is part of the Sogam area in the Kupwara district.
The security forces included soldiers from the Rashtriya Rifles and the Border Security Force.
They found many weapons and explosives, like bullets, grenades, and a pistol magazine.
The operation started in the morning and went on until the evening.
No one was arrested, but the security forces think this is a big success because it will make it harder for terrorists to plan attacks in the future.
On January 7, 2024, a gunfight broke out between security forces and terrorists in a remote village in Kathua district.
The encounter started after intelligence about the presence of two to three terrorists.
Reinforcements were rushed to the village to neutralize the terrorists.
