ILP Implementation Confirmed for Dimapur, Chumoukedima, and Niuland
Imagine a special pass, like a permission slip, that people need to enter certain areas.
This is called the Inner Line Permit or ILP.
The government has decided to start using this permit in three districts: Dimapur, Chumoukedima, and Niuland.
The local leader in Dimapur, Mr. Chang, said this is definitely happening.
They tried to do this before, but it didn't work out because of things like the pandemic.
Now, they're making sure it happens this time, after the cabinet agreed to it earlier in May.
Inner Line Permit (ILP) will be implemented in Dimapur, Chumoukedima, and Niuland districts.
The decision reaffirms the state cabinet's May 14 decision.
Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Tinojongshi Chang confirmed the implementation.
Past notifications in 2018, 2019, and 2023 did not materialize due to disruptions.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that this time, implementation is definite.
