PFRDA Introduces New NPS Multiple Scheme for Subscribers
The government is updating the National Pension Scheme (NPS) with a new Multiple Scheme Framework (MSF).
Starting October 1, 2025, people in the non-government sector, such as corporate employees and freelancers, can choose from multiple different investment plans under their existing NPS account.
This change allows for more personalized investing, with different risk levels and scheme options.
The MSF also introduces capped fees and requires schemes to have clear naming conventions and risk assessments.
PFRDA launches Multiple Scheme Framework (MSF) for NPS non-govt sector.
MSF allows subscribers to access multiple schemes under one account.
The framework caters to corporate employees, professionals, and gig workers.
Schemes will offer varied risk levels.
Charges are capped at 0.30% annually.
