Vizag Restructures into 10 Zones
The city of Visakhapatnam in India is changing how it manages its different areas.
Before, there were 8 zones, but now there will be 10.
This change started on January 1, 2026.
The idea is to make it easier for people to get help and for the city to work better.
Now, each area will have its own office, so people won't have to travel far to talk to officials.
This should make everything run smoother and faster.
Visakhapatnam's GVMC restructured from 8 to 10 zones to improve civic governance.
The new zonal system became effective on January 1, 2026.
New zonal offices have been established with necessary staff and records.
The restructuring aims to enhance decentralized governance and public convenience.
Each constituency will now fall under a single zone to streamline administration.
