Lia Buman Named Head of Global Acquisitions at Paramount

Lia Buman is the new Head of Global Acquisitions and Republic Pictures at Paramount Pictures.

She will oversee Republic Pictures as a development and production label, focusing on commercially driven movies with an independent feel.

Buman will report to Paramount Pictures Co-Chairs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein.

She previously co-founded Tango, a company known for artist-forward storytelling.

In her new role, she will lead global acquisitions and co-production strategies.

Sejin Croninger will report to Buman and oversee global acquisition efforts.

Max Silva has been named SVP, Production & Development, Republic Pictures.

Buman has a long history in the independent film community and has worked on many acclaimed films.
