Bargi Dam Opens Gates Amid Heavy Rain, Alerts Issued
Heavy rain caused the water level in Jabalpur's Bargi Dam to rise.
To manage this, authorities opened two more gates, making a total of seven open.
This has greatly increased the amount of water being released.
As a result, the Narmada River's water level is expected to rise downstream.
People in low-lying areas near the river, like Narsinghpur and Hoshangabad, have been warned to stay away from the river banks due to safety concerns.
