Nagaland's Western Dzukou Forest Fire Contained
A big fire started in a forest called Western Dzukou in Nagaland, India, on Friday.
A tourist guide saw the fire and told the local village and the government.
The fire was hard to put out because of the wind and the tough terrain.
But by Monday, the fire was under control.
There is still some smoke, but no big flames.
The Indian Air Force is helping to put out the smoke with a helicopter.
The forest is closed for now so people can't go hiking there.
Officials will check the area on Tuesday to make sure the fire is really out.
The people who helped fight the fire were praised by the local leader.
A forest fire in Western Dzukou, Kohima district, Nagaland, has been contained as of Monday.
The fire was first spotted by a tourist guide who alerted the Khonoma village and district administration.
Windy conditions and difficult terrain made firefighting operations challenging.
An Indian Air Force helicopter is deployed to suppress residual smoke and prevent flare-ups.
