Labour Unions Protest Arrest of Senior Leader in Punjab
Labour unions in Punjab are very upset because one of their important leaders, Mukesh Malaud, was arrested.
They think the government is spying on them using their phones.
So, they held big protests and even burned fake figures of the government and police to show their anger.
Mukesh was arrested when he was coming back from a trip to Maharashtra.
The unions want the government to stop doing these things and let their leader go.
Labour unions across Punjab protested the arrest of Mukesh Malaud, president of ZPSC.
Protests included demonstrations and burning effigies of the Punjab government and police.
Mukesh Malaud was arrested on December 30 in Delhi while returning from Maharashtra.
Unions allege that intelligence agencies are tracking leaders through mobile phone location surveillance.
