Shiprocket to use IPO proceeds for AI merchant operating system

Shiprocket to use IPO proceeds for AI merchant operating system

Shiprocket is a company in India that helps small shops sell and deliver products online.

The company is raising money by selling a small part of itself to people and funds.

This is called an IPO.

Shiprocket wants to use most of that money to build smart tools that use artificial intelligence, or AI.

With these tools, shop owners could run their business by talking to a computer instead of clicking through many different screens.

The company is even making its own talking AI helper, trained on its call-centre recordings.

More than 214,000 shops already use Shiprocket to send out their orders.

The IPO starts on August 12 and values the company at about Rs 7,056 crore.

The company makes more money every year, but it still spends a lot to grow, so its losses have become a little bigger.
