Tata AIA Declares Record Bonus Amidst Slowing Industry Growth
Tata AIA Life Insurance is giving out a record-breaking bonus of ₹1,842 crore to its customers who have certain types of life insurance plans.
This is because the company did well and wants to share its success.
Other insurance companies, like Bajaj Allianz and Kotak Mahindra, are also giving bonuses.
However, the overall growth of private life insurance companies in India slowed down in the last financial year.
Despite this, experts think the industry might be turning around and could improve in the coming year.
Tata AIA Life Insurance announced an all-time high bonus payout of ₹1,842 crore for FY25.
The bonus will benefit over 8.15 lakh policyholders.
Private life insurers in India saw their slowest growth in five years during FY25, with NBP at 9.8%.
The retail business saw a significant slowdown in APE growth, reaching a six-year low of 3.23%.
Industry analysts are cautiously optimistic that FY26 may be a turnaround year.
