YSRCP Accuses Naidu of Claiming Credit for Veligonda Project

YSRCP Accuses Naidu of Claiming Credit for Veligonda Project

The YSR Congress Party criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

It said he was trying to take credit for the Veligonda irrigation project.

The party said earlier governments led by YS Rajasekhara Reddy and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy completed most of the work.

It also said Jagan had already dedicated the project’s twin tunnels in March 2024.

YSRCP asked the government to pay compensation to 758 displaced families.

In a separate statement, the party accused the coalition government of borrowing and spending too much money.

It said the government was spending on publicity and luxury items while promised welfare programs lacked funds.

The government’s response to these accusations was not included in the article.
