BEST Enhances Mumbai Infrastructure for Ganeshotsav
To ensure a safe and well-lit Ganeshotsav, BEST is making several preparations.
They will install over 2,700 lights along procession routes and immersion sites.
Fifteen electric towers will also be put up at key immersion points for better lighting.
To prevent power outages, generators will be available, and searchlights will be placed at sea immersion sites for rescue operations.
BEST is also planning to add more buses and adjust routes to handle the expected increase in people traveling during the festival.
BEST will install 2,723 lights and 15 electric towers for Ganeshotsav.
Lights will be placed along 71 procession routes, 19 immersion sites, and 39 artificial ponds.
Eight diesel generators will be stationed at immersion sites to prevent power disruptions.
19 high-intensity searchlights will be installed at sea immersion points.
Additional bus services and route adjustments are planned to accommodate increased commuter traffic.
