Harshvardhan Rane to Headline Ram Gopal Varma's 'Police Company'
A new Indian movie called 'Police Company' is being made.
Famous director Ram Gopal Varma is directing it, and actor Harshvardhan Rane will play the main character.
The movie is about police officers who fought dangerous criminals in Mumbai many years ago.
Back then, a powerful gangster named Dawood Ibrahim left Mumbai to live in Dubai.
He put his friend Chhota Rajan in charge of his gang, called D Company.
After the two friends had a disagreement, other gangs started fighting to control the city.
Crime grew so big that the Mumbai Police created a special squad.
That squad stopped more than 300 gangsters between 1997 and 2004.
Actor Rane will play Daya Nayak, a real police officer from that squad.
The movie company T-Series is producing the film, and more actors will be announced soon.
Actor Harshvardhan Rane will headline filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's upcoming crime drama 'Police Company', produced by T-Series.
The film is inspired by a Mumbai Police special squad that killed more than 300 gangsters between 1997 and 2004.
