ECLGS 5.0 Guarantees Cover Rs 2.5 Lakh Crore
ECLGS 5.0 is a government-backed programme that helps eligible businesses obtain additional working capital.
It gives lending institutions guarantees for loans provided to qualifying borrowers.
The programme has issued 6,73,979 guarantees.
These guarantees cover Rs 2,50,024 crore.
Small and medium-sized businesses received most of the guarantees.
Eligible larger businesses and scheduled passenger airlines can also receive support.
The programme aims to enable up to Rs 2.55 lakh crore in additional credit.
It will continue until March 31, 2027, unless its guarantee limit is reached earlier.
ECLGS 5.0 has issued 6,73,979 guarantees covering Rs 2,50,024 crore.
MSMEs received 97.3% of guarantees by number and 80.79% by value.
The scheme supports MSMEs, eligible non-MSME businesses and scheduled passenger airlines.
It aims to facilitate additional credit flow of up to Rs 2.55 lakh crore.
The scheme runs until March 31, 2027, or until its guarantee limit is reached, whichever comes first.
