Modi Urges Youth to Carry Service to Grassroots
Young people are riding motorcycles between Vadnagar and Varanasi as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
There are journeys going in both directions.
The riders visit villages and meet many kinds of people.
They talk about government programmes and listen to public feedback.
They also help with activities such as cleaning, planting trees and saving water.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to them through a video call.
He said service should be shown through actions, not only speeches.
The campaign began on September 17 and is scheduled to continue until October 7.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted virtually with Seva Yatris travelling between Vadnagar and Varanasi on September 24.
The BJP-organised Seva Sankalp Abhiyan includes 20 two-way motorcycle yatras, with about 1,000 young participants expected.
