MP Textbook Corporation May Handle School Supplies Procurement Beyond Books
There is a company in India that makes school books.
It is called the Madhya Pradesh Textbook Corporation.
Right now, its main job is to print and give textbooks to government-school students.
Some people say this company may soon also buy other things for schools.
These things include sports equipment, kitchen items, science kits, and furniture.
A school minister reportedly asked officials to give this new job to the book company.
The rules are being changed so the company can do this.
The company already has a very big task: printing about 10 crore free textbooks for the next school year.
