Suzuki Targets Faster Development With Small EVs And Hybrids
Suzuki wants to design and build new cars much faster by 2030.
Its Indian company, Maruti Suzuki, plans to offer 28 models by FY31.
These models will include SUVs and electric cars.
Suzuki is also planning smaller electric cars with batteries sized for their needs.
It is developing hybrids and range-extender systems that can use electric motors without very large batteries.
Petrol engines, CNG and biogas fuel will continue to be part of the plan.
