DCC chief Sugunakka alleges leaders stoking factionalism in Congress
There is a big team called the Congress party.
A woman named Atram Sugunakka is the head of the party's local group in her area.
She says some people in the group are trying to start fights on purpose.
She says they are doing this to make the team weak.
Some people say she is not from the area, but she says that is not true.
She was born and raised there and belongs to the Adivasi community.
She has been with the party since 1995 without ever switching sides.
Some party members went to another city, Hyderabad, to complain about her.
She says that is unfair and wants everyone in the party to stay united and work together instead of fighting.
District Congress Committee president Atram Sugunakka accused certain DCC leaders of conspiring to weaken the party by stoking factionalism for their own selfish interests.
She rejected being portrayed as a 'non-local,' saying she is a daughter of the Adivasi community born and raised in Kumram Bheem, and called the portrayal an insult to the district and Adivasi people.
Sugunakka said she has worked with the Congress party continuously since 1995 and that the high command made her DCC president in recognition of her performance.
She dismissed as 'political drama' the actions of leaders who lured party workers to Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad to level allegations against her, saying it tarnished the party's reputation.
She warned of action against those opposing high command decisions and urged unity, while Gadeveni Mallesh noted CM Revanth and Minister Jupally also came from other parties.
