Businessman Arrested for Demolishing, Selling ED-Attached Property
A businessman named Abdul Kader Ali Mohammad was arrested for tearing down the New Roshan Talkies, a building that was seized by the government because it was linked to money laundering.
He then tried to sell the land.
The government is investigating this property because it is tied to Iqbal Mirchi, a known associate of Dawood Ibrahim.
Despite the ED attachment, Mohammad went ahead and demolished the building, likely to make money and hinder the investigation.
Now, the authorities are looking into his actions.
Businessman Abdul Kader Ali Mohammad arrested for illegally demolishing New Roshan Talkies.
The property was attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in October 2020.
Mohammad allegedly razed the heritage structure and attempted to sell the land.
