ABC News Seeks to Reduce Political Focus on 'The View'
The View, a talk show on ABC, has been criticized for its political discussions.
Now, ABC executives and Disney's CEO want the hosts to tone down the attacks on former President Trump and focus less on politics.
They think this might attract more viewers.
But the hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro, disagree.
They believe their audience enjoys the political talk and don't want to change the show.
They also felt that limiting their political commentary would send the wrong message.
ABC executives reportedly want The View to dial back its criticism of Donald Trump and other political topics.
Disney CEO Bob Iger also suggested the show could benefit from less political commentary.
The View hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro, pushed back against the suggestion.

The move comes as the network aims to broaden the show's appeal.
