Tamil Nadu Announces Rural Roads, Water Projects, Green Initiatives

Tamil Nadu has announced 31 new projects to improve villages.

Much of the money will be used to repair and build rural roads.

Some roads will be changed into stronger cement or paved-block roads.

New all-weather roads will connect four remote hill habitations.

The government also plans to plant two crore tree saplings.

It will build nurseries to help grow those trees.

Water projects will include new ponds, restored channels, and artificial recharge structures.

Officials also plan to build overhead tanks to provide 55 liters of drinking water per person each day.

The projects are intended to improve connectivity, conserve water, and help address climate change.
