IIM Kozhikode Achieves New Gender Balance Milestone
Imagine a school for people who want to be business leaders, like IIM Kozhikode.
This year, more than half of the new students are women!
The school has been working hard to get more women to apply.
Years ago, not many women were in these types of schools.
Now, because of programs and efforts by IIMK, more women are interested in management.
This is helping change the mix of students at the school.
Other schools are also trying to get more women to join.
IIM Kozhikode's 2025-27 PGP batch has over 50% female students.
This marks the fourth time IIMK has admitted more women than men.
The institute took steps over a decade ago to boost female participation.
IIMK organized 'women in leadership programmes' starting in 2012-13.
Other IIMs are also seeing shifts, but percentages vary across institutions.
