SBI Revises ATM Charges After Fee Hike
The State Bank of India (SBI) has changed its ATM fees starting from December 1, 2025.
This change happened because the fees that other banks pay SBI for using their ATMs went up.
Now, if you have an SBI savings account and use an ATM from another bank, you can still do 5 free transactions each month.
After that, you will have to pay Rs 23 plus GST for taking out cash and Rs 11 plus GST for checking your balance.
If you have a salary account, you can do 10 free transactions at other banks' ATMs, but after that, the same fees apply.
If you have a Basic Savings Bank Deposit (BSBD) account, your fees have not changed.
Using SBI's own ATMs is still free, and you can take out cash without a card for free as well.
SBI revised ATM charges effective December 1, 2025, due to increased interchange fees.
Savings account holders get 5 free transactions at non-SBI ATMs; fees increase after that.
Salary account holders now have a limit of 10 free transactions at non-SBI ATMs.
No changes to fees for Basic Savings Bank Deposit (BSBD) accounts.
Using SBI ATMs remains free, and cardless withdrawals are still unlimited and free.
