Shiv Sena-BJP Alliance Releases BMC Manifesto
The Shiv Sena and BJP, together as the Mahayuti alliance, have released their plan for the upcoming Mumbai city elections.
Their plan includes building affordable homes, improving public transport like buses and trains, and making the city cleaner by treating waste and using special tools to catch people who are in the city illegally.
The leader of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, said that people who do not speak Marathi are safe in Mumbai.
However, some other political groups disagree and say that these groups target people who are not from Maharashtra for attention.
The elections are happening on January 15, and the plan was announced just a few days before that.
Shiv Sena-BJP alliance released their manifesto for the BMC elections on January 11, 2024.
The manifesto focuses on affordable housing, transportation upgrades, and environmental initiatives.
CM Devendra Fadnavis assured the safety of non-Marathi speakers in Mumbai.
Opposition leaders from Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP criticized the BJP for not releasing their manifesto earlier.
The manifesto includes plans for 100% liquid waste treatment, garbage-to-electricity conversion, and a Rs 17,000 crore investment in water and air quality.
