Bharti Airtel Q2 Profit Doubles on Premium Mobile Growth and Record Customers
Bharti Airtel, a big phone company, made a lot more money in the last three months than it did last year.
This is because more people are choosing the pricier phone plans, and they added a lot of new customers.
Their total income went up significantly, and they earned almost double the profit.
Even though more people are using their phones, the company is also spending a lot on building more phone towers and cables to make their services even better for the future.
They also added many new customers to their home internet service.
Bharti Airtel's Q2FY26 net profit doubled to ₹8,651 crore compared to ₹4,153.4 crore in Q2FY25.
Consolidated revenue increased by 26% to ₹52,145 crore, with India revenue growing 22.6% and Airtel Africa revenue up 35%.
Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) rose to ₹256 from ₹233, attributed to premiumization and focus on quality customers.
The total customer base grew by 10.7% to 62.35 crore, with significant additions in the mobile and Homes businesses.
Capital expenditure for the quarter was ₹11,362 crore, with a focus on expanding digital infrastructure like towers and fiber optics.
