Karaikal-Peralam BG Line Cleared for Train Operations
The railway line between Karaikal and Peralam is ready to open!
The Commissioner of Railway Safety gave the go-ahead after checking the new tracks.
This means trains can run on this line again after 40 years.
Before trains start, the railway must make sure the stations have everything needed.
Train drivers will be trained on how to use the new equipment, and other safety checks are needed.
The railway has to follow specific rules before starting to carry passengers.
The Southern Railway Construction Organisation built the new railway.
It is crucial that the railway does not alter the rules.
If trains don't start soon, the railway must confirm everything is still safe.
CRS authorized the opening of the Karaikal to Peralam broad gauge line for train services.
The authorization followed a safety inspection of the 23.5 km electrified section.
Train services are set to resume after 40 years.
Passenger trains are permitted to run at a maximum speed of 75 km per hour.
The Southern Railway Construction Organisation executed the project.
