Maharashtra CM Signals Hinjawadi Transfer To PCMC Soon
Maharashtra is considering moving the whole Hinjawadi area under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, or PCMC.
Hinjawadi is an important area with many information-technology companies.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the government would decide soon.
He said the change could help keep roads and other civic services in better condition.
Fadnavis also discussed turning industrial areas into special industrial townships.
He said gram panchayats receive taxes from industries but may not have enough ability to maintain these places.
