MMRDA Scraps ₹14,000 Crore Tender Process After L&T Disqualification

MMRDA Scraps ₹14,000 Crore Tender Process After L&T Disqualification

A big construction company called Larsen & Toubro (L&T) was disqualified from some road projects in Mumbai.

The government said it was for good reasons.

L&T was confused because they weren't told why, and no one even opened their price bid.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), which is in charge of the projects, decided to cancel the whole thing after the Supreme Court got involved.

They scrapped a ₹14,000 crore tender, including an elevated road and tunnel.

This means L&T won't be doing these projects, but it also gives them another chance later.

L&T shares rose slightly after the news.
