GMADA Seeks Eviction of Unauthorized Gaushala in Phase 1
There is a big piece of land in Mohali that belongs to the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA).
A group called Gau Grass Sewa Samiti has been using this land to take care of cows without asking for permission.
GMADA has written a letter to the local government asking them to remove the group from the land.
The letter says that the group should make sure the cows are taken care of properly during the eviction to avoid any problems.
This issue has come up again because there have been recent debates about cows dying in similar places in Chandigarh.
GMADA has written to the Mohali Deputy Commissioner seeking eviction of an unauthorized gaushala in Sector 55, Phase 1.
The land is allegedly occupied by Gau Grass Sewa Samiti without permission.
GMADA claims the land belongs to it and no permission was granted for the gaushala.
The letter advises the Animal Husbandry Department to arrange care for the cows during eviction.
The issue has gained attention amidst statewide debate over cow deaths in gaushalas.
