Bhopal Deploys 180 Divers for Ganesh Visarjan 2026
Bhopal is preparing for Ganesh Visarjan, when people say goodbye to Lord Ganesha by immersing idols.
The main immersion day is Anant Chaturdashi on September 25, 2026.
Large processions with music and tableaux are expected to begin at 4 p.m.
Nearly 30 collection centres will let people hand over their idols.
The idols will then be immersed together by the civic authorities and trained workers.
More than 180 divers will help keep people safe.
Cranes, Poclain machines, ropes, life jackets, and rescue equipment will also be available.
People will not be allowed to enter the water themselves.
Police and civic officials will manage crowds, traffic, and the immersion routes.
Bhopal will hold major Ganesh idol immersions on Anant Chaturdashi, September 25, 2026.
Nearly 30 collection centres have been established so devotees can hand over idols before collective immersion.
More than 180 divers, over 12 cranes, and 12 Poclain machines will support operations at seven major ghats.
Major immersion locations include Khatlapura, Prempura, Rani Kamlapati, Bairagarh, and Shahpura ghats.
