Naidu Reviews Coastal Cleanup, Inaugurates Plastic Recovery Centre
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited a beach in Visakhapatnam to check a coastal-cleaning program.
He helped clean the beach and spoke with workers, fishermen, and scuba divers.
Fishermen collect plastic from the sea and receive incentives for doing so.
Scuba divers also remove plastic and old fishing nets from underwater areas.
The program aims to remove 1,200 tonnes of plastic from the coastline.
