Ruturaj Gaikwad Snubbed for Dhruv Jurel
Rishabh Pant, an important player for the Indian cricket team, got hurt while practicing for an upcoming series against New Zealand.
He had to leave the team because of this injury.
Instead of choosing Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been playing well in other matches, the team selected Dhruv Jurel.
Jurel has been doing really well in a tournament called the Vijay Hazare Trophy and was already part of the team for a previous series.
Some people think Gaikwad should have been chosen instead, but the team decided to go with Jurel.
The series will be played in three cities: Vadodara, Rajkot, and Indore.
Rishabh Pant suffered an oblique muscle tear during practice and is ruled out of the ODI series against New Zealand.
Dhruv Jurel replaces Pant in the squad for his recent good performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, despite good domestic form, was not selected for the series.
The series will be played in Vadodara, Rajkot, and Indore.
Pant's injury occurred while facing throwdowns from Raghavendra Dwivedi during a practice session.
