US Software Firm SAS Exits China, Lays Off 400 Employees

Imagine a big American computer company called SAS that has been working in China for a very long time, like over 20 years.

Recently, the company decided to leave China.

Because they are leaving, they had to say goodbye to about 400 of their workers there.

The company told these workers about the job cuts through an email and a short video.

They said it was to make the company work better.

As a goodbye gift, they are giving each worker money based on how many years they worked there, like one month's pay for every year.

This is happening as the United States and China are having some disagreements about technology and business.
