Waaree Energies Shares Drop Despite Revenue Surge
Waaree Energies is a solar‑panel company in India.
In the first quarter of 2026, it made a lot more money—about 79% more than last year.
But the cost of the materials it needs went up a lot, so its profit margin got smaller.
Because of that, investors sold the stock and it fell 6% at first.
Even though the company still has a big order book, the higher costs make people worry about future earnings.
Revenue jumped 79% to Rs 7,932 crore, yet shares fell 6% due to margin concerns.
Operating costs rose sharply, cutting EBITDA margin to 18.15% (company) or 14% (brokerage).
JM Financial highlighted margin weakness, citing a 14% EBITDA margin and higher finance costs.
Order inflows were Rs 16,000 crore and the order book stands at Rs 61,500 crore.
The firm plans to start a 10‑GW cell plant in FY27 and has bought 55% of Associated Power Structures.
